On April 9, 2020, State Police in Chestertown arrested a 13-year-old for Grand Larceny 4th degree (E felony) and Reckless Endangerment (B misdemeanor).

State Police were called to the intersection of Peaceful Valley Road and State Route 28 in North Creek for a property damage accident, shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Thursday. Investigation determined that the vehicle, which had struck a guiderail on the eastern shoulder of State Route 28, had been operated by a 13-year-old. The vehicle had been stolen by the teen from a residence in North Creek, a short distance away.

The teen was released to their parents and referred to Warren County Probation to appear in Family Court at a later date.
