Traffic violation leads to drug arrest in the City of Elmira


New York State Police were on routine patrol in the City of Elmira late in the evening on Wednesday August 26th, when they observed a vehicle driving on East Miller Street with no headlamps on and not using the turn signal. Police found an open bottle of alcohol and drugs including cocaine in the vehicle. The driver, Savon Hinton, age 25 of Elmira, was arrested for Criminal possession of a controlled substance and several traffic violations. Hinton is to appear in the City of Elmira court at a later date.
