Troop F Commander
On July 29, 2021, the New York State Police Troop F Child Abuse Unit in Orange County, which is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Village of Goshen Police, City of Port Jervis Police and Orange County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a 35 year old Newburgh man for the class D Felony of Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child second degree and the class A Misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On July 29, 2021, police arrested and charged EDER JONATHAN DIAZ FLORES, 35 years old of Newburgh, N.Y. following an investigation of a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services - Child Protective Services. The investigation revealed that Mr. DIAZ FLORES did engage in a course of sexual contact with a child who was less than thirteen years old.
Mr. DIAZ FLORES was arraigned before the Honorable NANCY BRENNER-DANGELO, a Town of Warwick Court judge. Judge BRENNER-DANGELO released Mr. DIAZ FLORES on his own recognizance. DIAZ FLORES was ordered to reappear before the Newburgh City Court on August 12, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. An Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
