The State Police responded to a fatal crash on the Meadowbrook State Parkway

PRESS RELEASE

On March 15, 2023, around 9:00 PM, the State Police responded to a crash on the northbound Meadowbrook State Parkway south of exit M6 in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County. 

 

Preliminary investigation revealed, a 2013 Mercedes Benz, driven by Alan Ricks, 48 of North Babylon, NY, was traveling northbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkway when his vehicle left the roadway striking multiple trees causing the vehicle to overturn. 

 

Ricks was taken to Nassau University Medical Center but later died of his injuries. 

 

This investigation is ongoing, and the State Police is asking for any witnesses or anyone with information to call (631) 756-3300.
