Three men arrested for drug charges in Yorkshire

On March 4, 2020, SP Machias Troopers arrested Austin M. Pleace, 22, of Delevan, NY, Evan M. Black, 24 of Arcade, NY, and Kyle D. Barber, 31, of Townville, PA for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree. Pleace was additionally charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

During a traffic stop on Block Road in the town of Yorkshire, Troopers determined Pleace had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. All parties were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The three were then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where Pleace failed standardized field sobriety tests. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluation confirmed him to be impaired by methamphetamine.

All were released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where they are due to appear later this month.
