On January 22, 2020, State Police in Queensbury arrested 34-year-old Charles M. Knapp of Day, for Arson 3rd degree (C felony) and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree (E felony).
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, State Police responded to a residence in the Town of Day for a disturbance. When Troopers arrived, it was reported that Charles Knapp had gotten into a confrontation with the victim. During the dispute, Knapp poured gasoline on a pickup truck in the victim’s driveway and set it on fire. The truck was rendered inoperable after the fire was extinguished.
Knapp was taken into custody without incident and transported to SP Queensbury for processing. He was arraigned in Day Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on a later date.
