Rhinebeck, New York – On December 11, 2020, the New York State Police in Rhinebeck arrested John J. Fenton, age 55, of Wappinger, NY, for Bribe Receiving in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, two counts of Coercion in the 3rd degree, and Official Misconduct, both class A misdemeanors. 

John J. Fenton is accused of the aforementioned charges while acting in his capacity as the Town of Red Hook building inspector and zone/code enforcement officer after the State Police received a complaint.

Fenton was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Dutchess County Court on January 21, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.
