On May 16, 2020, at approximately 10:45 p.m. State Police conducted a traffic stop on Church Lane in the town of Black Brook after a vehicle was observed failing to stop at a flashing red light at State Route 9N and North Main Street.

The operator, Philip D. Nolan, 27, of AuSable Forks, was subsequently arrested for DWI. His license was also found to be revoked for a previous DWI, and he has an interlock restriction.  His blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.13%. No ignition interlock device was found in the vehicle Nolan was operating. 

He was charged with Felony DWI, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, E felony. Nolan was released with tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Black Brook Court.
