On December 14, 2019, at approximately 11:15 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Dodge Dakota on County Route 32 in the town of Bombay for having no inspection certificate and for failure to keep right.  The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 37-year-old Mandy L. Boyea, of Fort Covington. She was subsequently arrested for DWI. Boyea’s blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.09%.

Further investigation revealed there to be an active Franklin County Family Court Order of Protection requiring Boyea to refrain from consuming alcohol.  Boyea also had a previous conviction for DWI in June 2019, in the Town of Malone.  She was charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree, and Felony DWI.  Boyea was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Bombay Court.
