PRESS RELEASE
 

On July 5, 2022, at approximately 3:34 p.m., State Police out of Big Flats conducted a traffic stop on a motorist on County Route 19, in the town of Dix.  While interviewing the driver, Robert H. Wood, age 36, from Corning, it was determined that he possessed a suspended New York State driver’s license.  During a search of the vehicle the trooper observed two plastic bags containing methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. Woods passenger, Stephanie L. Stewart, age 29, from Corning, advised the trooper that the bags containing methamphetamine were hers.   

Wood was issued multiple traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Dix Court on July 20, 2022, at 5:00p.m. 

Stewart was transported to SP Horseheads and charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.

All charges are returnable to the Town of Dix Court on July 20, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
