Woodbury, NY – On May 12, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Woodbury for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  Upon interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Steven M. Hammonds, 39, of Albany, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 13.5 ounces of marijuana. 


Hammonds was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh where he was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3th degree; a Class E Felony. 


He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Woodbury Court on June 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
