On May 23rd, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested William Purdy, 32, of Jamestown, for Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Holly Mooney, 31, of Sinclairville, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.
 
Purdy was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 62 in Conewango Valley and after failing several SFSTs, Purdy was placed under arrest. Further investigation revealed that Purdy was in possession of a bag containing methamphetamine and Mooney was in possession of a pipe containing methamphetamine residue and a digital scale containing residue. Purdy and Mooney were transported to SP Jamestown where Mooney was processed, issued tickets and released. Purdy was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be impaired. After securing a blood sample from Purdy at UPMC Hospital, Purdy was processed and issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. Both Purdy and Mooney are scheduled to appear in the town of Conewango Court on a later date to answer the charges.
