PRESS RELEASE

On August 29th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Alisha Crouse, 34, of Irving and Amanda Smith, 37 and Alicia Burgess, 37, both of Jamestown, for five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  Smith was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree. 

Crouse was pulled over on I-86 in Kennedy for speeding.  While speaking to the occupants, it was determined that Crouse had a suspended driver license, Smith had been smoking marijuana and Burgess had an open container of alcolhol and had been drinking.  A New York State Police K-9 assisted in search and alerted to several areas throughout the vehicle, untimately locating the two bags containing methamphetamine, foil containing methamphetamine, two unlabeled pill bottles containing hydrocodone and a bag containing marijuana.  Crouse, Smith and Burgess were all placed under arrest, trnasported to SP Jamestown and processed.  All three subjects were then released with appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court next month.  Crouse was also issued tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed 3rd Degree and speeding.
