On July 28, 2020, at approximately 5:35 p.m., State Police Haverstraw stopped a 2013 Audi for vehicle and traffic law violations on the Palisades Parkway in the town of Haverstraw. The operator of the vehicle, Tamel Jackson-Breland, age 30, from Bronx, NY was stopped for numerous vehicle and traffic law violations. While speaking with the troopers it was determined that he was in possession of cocaine and marihuana. Jackson-Breland was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. He was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd and 3rd degree, (both felonies) and Unlawful Possession of Maihuana 2nd degree. He was arraigned in Haverstraw Town Court in front of Judge Grant.
