On September 12, 2020, at approximately 3:05 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Chevy Silverado, on State Route 9 in the town of Schroon, for failure to maintain lane. The operator, identified as 30-year-old Evan M. Hodulich, of Glenn Gardner, New Jersey, was subsequently arrested for DWAI. He was also found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol, a quantity of heroin, crack-cocaine, marijuana, various pills and drug paraphernalia.
Subsequent to a DRE evaluation, Hodulich was determined to be impaired by drugs. He was charged with DWAI-drugs, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, six counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, one count of Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th degree and one count of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphenalia 2nd degree. Hodulich was arraigned by the Town of Schroon Court and released to reappear at a later date.
