On March 12, 2020 at approximately 11:10 p.m. state police in Monroe stopped a 2008 Toyota Prius for a vehicle and traffic law violation. While interviewing the operator of the vehicle, Joshua C. Gilmore, age 39 Middletown, NY it was determined that he did not have a driver’s license. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Nichole Ellis, age 35 of the town of Wallkill was asked to exit the vehicle along with the operator. During a probable cause search of the vehicle troopers located drug pipes containing crack cocaine residue, approximately 15 grams of crack cocaine, a plastic baggie containing heroin and other drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.
 
Both Joshua Gilmore and Nichole Ellis were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, (felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled 3rd degree With Intent to Sell, (felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (misdemeanor), and Criminal Use of Drug paraphernalia  (misdemeanor). Gilmore and Ellis were issued appearance tickets returnable to to the Town of Woodbury Court on April 7, 2020 at 5 p.m.
