Newburgh, NY – On March 22, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Newburgh for a vehicle and traffic violation.  During the interview of the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Roqun T. Caban, 20, of Utica, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 24 pounds of marijuana. 

Caban was taken into custody and transported to SP Newburgh where he was processed and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 1st degree; a Class C Felony.  He was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Newburgh Court on April 5, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
