While conducting a search of the vehicle, Troopers discovered a Henry Repeating 45-70 rifle, a Dan Wesson .357 mag revolver, and a billy club.  Further investigation determined the rifle was confirmed stolen and  Higginbotham was wanted out of the Town of Coeyman’s Police Department.  Higginbotham and the two passengers in the vehicle, Sierra N. Wase, 27, of Leeds, NY, and Marshall R. Tucker, 38, of Saugerties, NY, were all taken into custody and transported to SP Albany.  They were each charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree; a Class D Felony and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (Firearms) 4th degree; a Class E Felony.

The three were arraigned via skype, in front of Town of Schodack Court.  Higginbotham and Wase were Released on their Own Recognizance with the condition of daily reporting to Rensselaer County Probation.  They are to reappear back in Court on August 5, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.  Higginbotham was then turned over to Coeymans PD regarding the active warrants.
