Woodbury, NY – On October 13, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Woodbury for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  Upon interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants was established.  During the search of the vehicle approximately 6 grams of heroin and 4.4 grams of crack-cocaine was discovered. 


The driver of the vehicle, 36-year old Tito A. Garcia-Castro, and passenger, Betty J. Pendt, 32, both of Schenectady, NY, were taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh. 


Both subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony and released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Woodbury Court on October 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
