Plattekill, NY – On May 16, 2020, at approximately 11:00 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Plattekill for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  Upon interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants was established.  During the search of the vehicle approximately 2.5 ounces of heroin was discovered. 


The driver of the vehicle, Mark J. Deso Jr., 27, of Coxsackie, NY, and two passengers, Michael C. Harrington, 24, and Frances E. Carter, 32, also of Coxsackie, NY, were taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh. 


All three subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony and released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Plattekill Court on June 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
