Traffic stop on the Thruway leads to weapon arrest.

Clarkstown, NY – On February 6, 2021 at approximately 10:30 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Clarkstown, for a vehicle and traffic violation.  Upon interviewing the driver, Romario R. Gentiles, 22, of Stony Point, NY, Troopers observed a pair of metal knuckles fall out of a bag while Gentiles was retrieving his identification.

Gentiles was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Tarrytown, where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor.  He was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court on March 1, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
