Trespass complaint leads to felony charge for Dunkirk man

On August 13, 2021 at approximately 02:18am, Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested Christopher R. Davis, 34, of Dunkirk for Criminal Mischief 3rd, Driving While Intoxicated, two counts of Aggravated Harassment, Harassment and Trespass.

Troopers responded to a trespass complaint in the town of Pomfret.  Caller stated a man was hiding behind a tree in the front yard of the residence.  When Troopers arrived on scene, they observed Davis’ vehicle parked down the road but Davis, however, was no longer on scene.  The caller stated Davis was underneath a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence when Troopers showed up with spotlights on.

A search of the surrounding area would eventually lead Troopers to locate Davis and place him into custody.  Further investigation alleges that Davis tampered with the brake lines of the vehicle that was parked in the driveway and admitted to driving while intoxicated.  The complainants also reported to Troopers that they received numerous unwanted text messages and phone calls from Davis during the previous 12 hours.

Davis was transported to SP Fredonia where he was processed and ultimately charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd, Driving While Intoxicated, two counts of Aggravated Harassment, Harassment and Trespass.  He was then taken to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
