Troopers and emergency responders respond to accident with a side by side in Cortlandville

On October 23, 2022, at approximately 1:59 p.m., New York State Police at Homer, Cortlandville Fire and TLC Ambulance responded to an accident involving a side-by-side in a field off Hobart Hill Road in the town of Cortlandville.

An investigation revealed that two people were traveling in the side-by-side when it tipped on a graded hill, a 10-year-old passenger got his leg trapped underneath.  The side-by-side was lifted off the child and he was transported by Cortlandville Fire’s side by side to a larger field where he was then transported to a helicopter and flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
