Troopers arrest Edwards, NY male for criminal contempt 1st, aggravated family offense, criminal obstruction breathing, criminal mischief, and harassment 2nd.

On March 15, 2023, Troopers arrested Richard L. Lillie, age 43 of Edwards, NY for criminal contempt 1^st, aggravated family offense, criminal obstruction breathing, criminal mischief, and harassment 2^nd.

On March 15, 2023, around 7:49 p.m., Troopers responded to Island Street in the town of Edwards for a physical domestic.  An investigation determined Lillie was involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical when he grabbed the victim’s neck and applied pressure.  Lillie continued to have the victim by the neck as he was shoving the victim around.  The victim fell to the ground and was able to get away from Lillie.  The victim went into the bathroom, Lillie followed.  Lillie took the victims phone causing damage.  Lillie placed his hands around the victim’s neck again slamming the victim into a wall, and another altercation occurred.  The physical altercation stopped, and the victim left.

Further investigation showed there was a refrain from order of protection in place, that Lillie was violating.  

Lillie was arrested and transported to SP Gouverneur for processing.  He was arraigned in the Town of Fowler Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail with no bail.
