Troopers arrest a Plattsburgh, NY male for Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs and other vehicle and traffic infractions. 

On December 29, 2022, Troopers arrested Christopher J. Rodriguez, age 35, of Plattsburgh, NY for Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs and other vehicle and traffic infractions. 

On December 28, 2022, around 9:25 p.m., Troopers responded to Military Turnpike in the town of Schuyler Falls for a property damage accident. When the Troopers arrived on the scene, they observed a blue 2012 Honda Civic facing the wrong direction and the vehicle was unoccupied.  Troopers located footprints in the snow and followed them into the wooded area near the accident.  The Troopers located a male behind a tree who identified himself as Rodriguez, and he admitted to being in the accident.  While interviewing Rodriguez, he showed signs of impairment.  After failing SFST’s, Rodriguez was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh where a Drug Recognition Expert conducted an evaluation.  Rodriguez submitted to a PBT which showed negative for presence of alcohol. He agreed to submit to blood test to determine the drug content.

 He was released on UTT’s returnable to the Town of Schuyler Falls Court and Town of Plattsburgh Court for a later date in January 2023.
