Troopers arrest a Vestal man for DWI.

On April 30, 2022, at approximately 10:52 p.m., State Police out of Wellsburg conducted a traffic stop on a motorist for speeding on Wilawana Road, in the town of Ashland. While interviewing the operator, identified as James H. Adriance, age 59, from Vestal, the trooper detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.  Adriance submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, subsequently failing them.

Adriance was transported back to SP Wellsburg where he submitted to a breath test, with a reported value of .13% BAC. Mr. Adriance was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and given an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Ashland Court on May 24, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.
