Troopers arrested multiple individuals, for a burglary incident

On November 20, 2022, around 12:13 A.M., Troopers responded Dockum Way, in the town of Jay for a burglary complaint.  An investigation determined suspects, who were armed, entered a residence without permission, striking the victim in the head, awaking the victim.  During the altercation the suspects held the victim against their will and were demanding money and drugs.  The victim was able to get away from the suspects with non life threatening injuries to contact law enforcement regarding the incident.

On November 28, 2022, Richard A. Carnahan Jr., age 37, of Keeseville, NY was arrested for Burglary 1^st, causing injury; Kidnapping 2^nd; Assault; Robbery 2^nd, aided by another; and Robbery 1^st. He was arraigned in the Town of Jay Court and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash.

On December 1, 2022, Timothy L. Baker, age 38, of Peru, NY was arrested for Burglary 1^st, causing injury; Criminal use of a firearm 2^nd; Assault; Robbery 2^nd, aided by another; Kidnapping 2^nd; and Robbery 1^st.  He was arraigned in the Town of Jay Court and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash.

On December 12, 2022, Evita A. Stacey, age 38, of Keeseville, NY was arrested for Burglary 1^st, causing injury; Assault; Robbery 2^nd, aided by another; Kidnapping 2^nd; and Robbery 1^st.  She was arraigned in the Town of North Elba and remanded to Essex County jail with no bail.

On December 14, 2022, Dustin J. Saltmarsh, age 37, of Peru, NY was arrested for Conspiracy theory 4^th and Conspiracy theory 5^th.  He was arraigned in the Town of Jay Court, and he was released on his own recognizances.
