PRESS RELEASE
 

At approximately 1:50 p.m., today, the State Police attempted to stop a motorist for a traffic violation when the motorist failed to comply and fled troopers.  After a brief pursuit the motorist was involved in an accident on St Paul Blvd. near Scrantom Street and then fled on foot.

Troopers took the operator, Brendon Holmes, age 30, from Rochester into custody and charged him with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Violation of Probation.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is continuing.
