On January 25, 2020, State Police in Wilton arrested 41-year-old Sandy L. Jones II of Glens Falls, for Driving While Intoxicated- Previous Conviction (E felony), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (E felony), Use of a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device (A misdemeanor), Fleeing from an Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree (A misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).
At approximately 2:40 a.m. Saturday morning, State Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Jones after he was observed operating with no headlights on Depot Street in Hudson Falls.
Jones initially stopped his vehicle, but as the Trooper approached the driver’s door, he fled the scene. After a brief pursuit, Jones abandoned his car and took off on foot. He was taken into custody by Troopers as he attempted to climb a fence.
While interviewing Jones, Troopers determined that he maybe intoxicated and administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Jones failed the tests, and was transported to SP Wilton where he provided a breath sample of .14% B.A.C.
Jones was issued an appearance ticket for Kingsbury Town Court on February 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
