Troopers in Steuben County arrest a Fed Ex driver for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Controlled Substance not in Original Container, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.

On February 24, 2023, troopers in Wayland responded to a property damage accident at the Jasper-Troupsburg School in the Town of Greenwood. Troopers learned that a Fed-Ex box truck had driven over the sidewalk and into a tree in the parking lot. Troopers located the vehicle on Andover Street in the town of Greenwood and identified the operator as Michael L. Morgan, age 38 of Elmira Heights. Troopers subsequently arrested Morgan for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Controlled Substance not in Original Container, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.

Morgan was transported to SP Wayland for processing then released with an appearance ticket to appear in the Greenwood Town Court at a later date.
