PRESS RELEASE
State Police in Marcy is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of Stone Road and Shaul Road in the town of Bridgewater, Oneida County.
The preliminary investigation has determined on April 7, 2022, at 8:05 a.m., a 2011 Dodge pickup truck, operated by Eric S. Coffin, age 36, from Cassville, NY, was traveling north on Stone Road when he crossed the double solid line and into the path of a 2019 International Tractor Trailer that was traveling southbound on Stone Road. Mr. Coffin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tractor-trailer driver, 24-year-old Kenneth Butler from Ilion, NY, was not injured in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
