On October 20, 2019, at approximately 12:21 a.m., New York State Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash in the Eastbound lane of the New York State Thruway in the Town of Tyre, Seneca County.  Two individuals involved in the crash succumbed to their injuries.  Two other individuals were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY, both listed in stable condition.  Another individual involved in the crash was transported to the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY, and is listed in critical condition.  Troopers were assisted on scene by the New York State Thruway Authority, the Magee, Junius, Clyde, and Canoga Fire Departments, the North Seneca, South Seneca, Finger Lakes, Clyde and Lyons Ambulance, Seneca County Fire Coordinators Office, and the Life-Net and Mercy Flight medical helicopters.  A portion of the Thruway was shut down for a period of time, during the crash investigation. 


The investigation is currently ongoing and all name are being withheld at this time, pending next of kin notifications.
