PRESS RELEASE
On January 16, 2023, at 5:05 p.m., State Police in Hastings responded to a UTV rollover accident near Bishop Road in the town of Richland, Oswego County.
The preliminary investigation has determined, James R. Potter, age 60 from Mannsville, NY was backing his UTV on an off-road trail when he struck a tree causing it to roll over and pin Mr. Potter beneath the vehicle. Mr. Potter was transported to Upstate University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, NOCA Ambulance, and Ringgold Fire Department.
