PRESS RELEASE

New York State Police at Margaretville are looking to identify the pictured individuals.  Troopers have been working on the case since January 2022 but have not been able to develop any leads and are seeking the public’s assistance.

On January 30, 2022, a victim reported that their vehicle’s window was smashed while parked at Robinson Terrace in Stamford.  Troopers also learned that a second victim also had a wallet taken from a vehicle that had its window smashed on the same date at the same location.

In both instances, within a short time the suspects were attempting to use the credit cards at the Walmart in Oneonta.  Some of the credit cards were declined but they were able to make purchases on at least one of the stolen credit cards.  A similar incident using stolen credit cards also occurred in November 2021.

Anyone with information is asked to call New York State Police at (607)561-7400.  Cases 10676071 and 10669957.
