UPDATE: Roadway is open.
 
UPDATE: As of 9:20 a.m., the right lane on I-81 between exits 10 and 11 north remains closed for guardrail repairs.  The left lane is OPEN.
 
Troopers, Cortland County Sheriff’s, Cortland City Police, Department of Environmental Conservation, State Fire, Spill Response, County HazMat, Cortland City Fire, Cortlandville Fire and Department of Transportation all responded to the scene at the time of the incident on Wednesday night.  
 
The contents of the trailer contained pesticides and cooking oil.     
 
The driver of the tractor trailer, Alexandr Gorski, age 47 of Philadelphia, PA was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  He was issued appearance tickets to the Cortland City Court on July 25, 2022.  He was released to a sober third party.  

UPDATE: As of 7:25 a.m., the left lane is open. Proceed with caution, right lane is still closed.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: On June 15, 2022, shortly after 7 p.m., New York State Police responded to a report of a tractor trailer rollover on Interstate 81 north between exits 10 (McGraw) and 11 (Cortland). 
 
No injuries have been reported. The driver of the tractor trailer has been arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. 
 
As of 9:20 p.m., the northbound lanes between exits 11 and 12 are shutdown. DEC spill response is on scene, Cortland Sheriff’s Deputies, Cortland City Police, State Fire and numerous fire agencies are on scene. 
 
The investigation is on going.
