On September 3, 2021, the New York State Police in a Brunswick arrested 22-year-old Tyreece Botsford of Troy, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree-Previous Conviction (D felony) and two counts of Menacing 2nd degree (A misdemeanor).

On August 26, 2021, State Police responded to a town of Schaghticoke residence for a disturbance. Investigation at the scene determined that Botsford had arrived at the home and had a dispute with one of the homeowners. During the argument Botsford threatened the homeowner with a knife. He then threw the knife at them, without causing injury, and brandished a stun gun. Botsford fled the scene prior the arrival of police.

On September 3, 2021, Botsford turned himself in at SP Brunswick and was processed. He was arraigned in Grafton Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due in Schaghticoke Town Court on September 13, 2021.
