On November 2, 2019, State Police in Brunswick arrested 53-year-old Luis L. Rosa of Troy, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, both E felonies.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, State Police were called to the parking lot of Walmart in Troy to check the welfare of a man sitting in a vehicle who appeared to be intoxicated. When Troopers stopped behind the vehicle the man, later identified as Luis Rosa, started to drive away. Rosa immediately responded to commands to stop the vehicle.
Rosa exhibited multiple indicators of intoxication and was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he failed. It was also discovered that he was operating on a revoked driver’s license.
Rosa was subsequently taken into custody and transported to SP Brunswick where he provided a breath sample of .24% B.A.C. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Brunswick Town Court on November 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
