PRESS RELEASE

On July 26, 2020, State Police in Greenwich arrested 31-year-old Heather D. Wilcox of Troy, for Criminal Mischief 3rd degree (E felony), Criminal Contempt 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor), and Disorderly Conduct (Violation).

Wilcox was the passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on State Route 313 in Jackson Sunday afternoon. When the Trooper spoke with the occupants of the vehicle it was discovered that Wilcox was in violation of a full stay away order of protection which named another occupant of the vehicle as the protected party. As the Trooper attempted to place Wilcox in custody she became combative, striking the door of a troop car damaging it.

Wilcox was ultimately secured and transported to SP Greenwich for processing. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Jackson Town Court on August 13, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
