On September 29, 2020, at approximately 8 p.m., State Police arrested 50-year-old Melissa Guisewhite of Tupper Lake, after she had driven herself to a residence that was not her own in Tupper Lake while heavily intoxicated, and fell asleep inside. Her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.19%. Guisewhite had been previously convicted of DWI in the preceding ten years. She was also found in possession of tramadol for which she did not have a prescription for. Guisewhite was charged with Felony DWI, Aggravated DWI, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. She was released with tickets for the Tupper Lake Town Court.
