On July 10, 2020, State Police in Schodack arrested an 18-year-old suspect and 19-year-old Virkwan D. Hickman of Albany and for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (C felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree (E felony), and Unlawful Possession of an Ammo Feeding Device (B misdemeanor).

State Police stopped an 18-year-old driver on State Route 4 in North Greenbush shortly after 10:00 p.m. Friday night after observing a traffic violation. Upon speaking with the driver, the Trooper observed signs indicative of drug use and a search of the vehicle was conducted. The search revealed a loaded .40 caliber handgun and a magazine capable of carrying more than 7 rounds of ammunition located in the glovebox. Both the driver and his passenger, Virkwan Hickman, were taken into custody. Further investigation determined that the handgun was stolen.

Both suspects were transported to SP Schodack for processing and subsequently arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court. They were released on their own recognizance and are due back in court on September 8, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
