On August 15, 2020, State Police in Granville arrested 25-year-old Robert E. Cisler of Ronkonkoma, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree- Intent to Sell (B felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree- Narcotic Drug (B felony), seven counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree- Packaging (B misdemeanor), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree- Scales (B misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 1st degree (violation). State Police also charged 26-year-old Tara L. Cisler, of Ronkonkoma, for three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor).
At approximately 9:27 a.m. on Saturday, State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on State Route 4 in Fort Ann, after the operator, Tara Cisler, was observed committing a series of traffic violations. When the Trooper approached the vehicle to speak with Cisler, they observed signs indicative of drug use and a vehicle search was conducted. Tara Cisler was found in possession of numerous pills of alprazolam. She also was also found in possession of buprenophrine and straws containing cocaine residue. Her passenger Robert Cisler, was found in possession of approximately 16 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 37 grams of marihuana, and numerous pills of Xanax, alprazolam, and oxycodone. Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to SP Granville for processing.
Tara Cisler was issued and appearance ticket and is due in Fort Ann Town Court on September 2, 2020. Robert Cisler was transported to Washington County Jail to await arraignment.
