On April 30, 2020, State Police in Queensbury arrested 29-year-old Savyon Carr of Bronx, N.Y. and 27-year-old Xavier Polite of New York, N.Y., for Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd degree- Intent to Sell (B felony), Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 4th degree (C felony), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor). Polite was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree- Narcotic Drug (B felony).

State Police stopped Carr for a traffic infraction as he travelled on the Northway in the Town of Queensbury yesterday afternoon. While interviewing Carr and his passenger, Xavier Polite, the Trooper observed signs indicative of drug use.

A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of oxycodone. Polite was found to be in possession of approximately 100 grams of crack cocaine, which was located on his person. Carr was found to have approximately 18.5 grams of cocaine on his person.

Both men were taken into custody and processed at SP Queensbury. Carr was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on June 1, 2020. Polite was arraigned and remanded to Warren County Jail. He is due back on a later date.
