Albany, NY – On December 28, 2019, at approximately 10:50 p.m., State Police stopped a car on I-87 in the city of Albany for a vehicle and traffic violation.  While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Aaron J. Sylvester, 30, and the passenger, Andre K. Hawkins, 33, both of Schenectady, NY, were found to be in possession of approximately 122 grams of crack cocaine.  
 
The pair were taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Albany where they were both charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2rd degree; a Class A Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell 3rd degree; a Class B Felony.
 
Both men were arraigned before the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to Albany County Jail without bail, pending a preliminary hearing set for December 31, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
