PRESS RELEASE
 
On May 5, 2020 at approximately 8:35 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Rebecca J. Tierney, age 40 of Union, NY for the misdemeanors of Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Resisting Arrest. 
 
Troopers were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Dickinson Street in the town of Union.  An investigation revealed that a verbal argument turned physical involving several people, including an 11-year-old.  When one person attempted to remove Tierney out of the residence, she damaged a door jam. 
 
When troopers arrived on scene, they attempted to place Tierney under arrest.  Tierney failed to follow the trooper’s commands and resisted arrest.  She also attempted to kick out the trooper’s vehicle windshield. 
 
Tierney was processed then arraigned virtually where she was released on her own recognizance.  An order of protection was provided to the victims.
