PRESS RELEASE

UPDATE: Interstate 81 is now open. The early morning crash was investigated by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department and assisted by the New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcment Unit and troopers from SP Homer. 

ORIGINAL RELEASE: An early morning accident involving a box truck and snow plow has shut down Interstate 81 in the southbound direction near Preble (exit 13). The Interstate is closed at the Preble exit and commuters can take the State Route 281 (exit 13) southbound making their way back to Interstate 81 in Homer.
