UPDATE:
State Police announce the name of the individual killed on Friday, September 16th in Williamson. Arthur Edick, age 19, was stabbed during an argument and airlifted to Strong Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
On September 16, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the State Police responded to 4949 Ridge Road in Williamson for a report of a stabbing at that location.
When troopers arrived it was learned that a 19 year old male was stabbed in the abdomen and was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
State Police located the suspect, a 17 year old male, and subsequently took him into custody.
The 17 year old was transported to Rochester General Hospital for evaluation.
State Police charged the 17 year old male with Murder 2nd Degree, and Burglary 2nd Degree, after being released from Rochester General.
He was arraigned in Youth Court and remanded to the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center with no bail.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Police and the investigation is continuing.
