PRESS RELEASE
 

On October 7, 2020, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the State Police responded to a car vs. pedestrian fatal accident on I-490 eastbound near the Plymouth Avenue Exit.  The deceased, for an unknown reason, was standing in one of the driving lanes when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

The pedestrian, who did not have any identification on him, was pronounced dead at the scene, and removed by the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office.

State Police Investigators are trying to find out the identity of the deceased adult male and are asking anyone with information about this accident to call the State Police Rochester Station at 279-8891.

The operator of the passenger vehicle was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.
