UPDATE:
State Police release the names of individuals in Monday’s serious injury accident.
Jamie Stobie, age 39, from Walworth, was seriously injured when her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer that failed to stop for a stop sign.
The operator of the tractor-trailer, Tuychiev Otabek, age 34, from Brooklyn was treated and released at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
On May 23, 2022, at approximately 7:52 a.m., the State Police responded to a serious injury accident at the intersection of Macedon Center Road and Walworth Road in the town of Macedon.
Troopers interviewed witnesses and preliminarily believe that the Tactor-trailer was eastbound on Macedon Center Road and passed through a stop sign in the path of the southbound passenger vehicle on Walworth Road. The operator of the passenger vehicle, an adult female, was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital with serious injuries.
The operator of the tractor-trailer was treated at the scene and is cooperative.
The State Police Collison Reconstruction Unit was on scene conducting their investigation and the State Police was assisted by the Macedon Fire Department and the Wayne County Advanced Life Support Unit.
The operator of the tractor-trailer was issued a ticket for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and the investigation is continuing.
