UPDATE ARREST MADE:
 

The New York State Police at SP Painted Post report the arrest of Robert D. Adams, age 40, of Woodhull for the larceny of the previously mentioned UTV from Lamb & Webster dealership in Woodhull, NY. 

Adam’s arrest follows the recovery of the stolen UTV, which was located on property nearby his residence. The UTV had been re-painted and altered to mask its original appearance.  

Subsequent to his arrest, the State Police additionally recovered a defaced firearm, which Adams possessed. 

Adams was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Willful Defacement of a Firearm, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree.

Adams was arraigned in Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Parts Court and remanded to the County Jail, as a predicate felon. 

The State Police would like to thank the public’s assistance for the numerous calls, tips, and messages received during this investigation.

Re: Stolen Utility Vehicle – Steuben County:

The New York State Police at SP Painted Post are investigating a reported larceny of a Kubota RTV900utility vehicle from the Lamb and Webster dealership in Woodhull, NY. The vehicle is described as Kubota orange, with black trim and silver wheels and It is a two-seater with a dump bed.   

It is believed that it was taken from the lot, near dawn, on Saturday morning December 5, 2020, by utilizing another vehicle to remove it from the scene. It was last seen travelling east on state route 417, away from the dealership. 

Anyone in the Woodhull and Osceola, Pennsylvania areas, who may have observed an improperly loaded UTV, or may have home surveillance video of the roadways in front of their residence are asked to contact the New York State Police at (607) 962-3282. 

Anyone wishing to report suspicious activity within the Town of Woodhull area can do so by contacting 911.
