PRESS RELEASE

On March, 01, 2021, Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested Amos P. Barber II, 32, of Villenova, NY for Assault 3rd- With Intent to Cause Physical Injury, 2 counts of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Harassment 2nd after using a paintball gun on a victim during a domestic incident.

Troopers received a walk-in complaint by the victim in February stating that she had multiple injuries and bruising on her body that stemmed from a domestic incident that took place inside Barber’s residence.  The victim reported that the verbal altercation quickly turned physical and Barber pulled her by her hair, kneed her in the head, used his leg across her neck, obstructing her breathing, as well as fired several shots from a paintball gun at close range, leaving multiple bruises on her body.

After multiple attempts were made to locate Barber, successful contact was made via phone.  He was placed into custody at his residence and was then transported and processed at SP Fredonia.

Barber was transported for arraignment to Chautauqua County Jail.
